This package comes with everything you need to enjoy your day on the water including a single kayak for one person up to 250 pounds ages 12 and up if they are able to kayak safely with an adult, 1 paddle, a life vest, and a map of the area. Our kayaks are very stable and easy to paddle so all skill levels are comfortable. Crystal River is such a beautiful place and has so many things to see, such as manatees, dolphins, birds, otters, and many different fish.

We require you arrive 30 minutes prior to your start time to watch a video from the FWC and sign waivers. There is a $5.00 City of Crystal River launch fee per vessel rented. This will be collected at our shop before departure and you will receive a wristband to wear while on the water. There is an option to park at our shop and walk to the launch point or pay $5 and park at the park where we launch for the entire day.

Our family of 5 rented a waterbike, 2 kayaks, and 2 paddleboards for 2 hours and LOVED IT! The experience paddling with manatees was unreal, but the customer service from Paddles Outdoors was unmatched. I had called around to several other places that were unpleasant on the phone, but upon talking to these guys, it was like night and day! They were polite, helpful in our logistics (coming from Orlando with a small RV), and able to book us same day with rentals during a busier season. We all appreciated the easy check-in process and the ride over to the launch. Paddling to Three Rivers took us maybe 30 minutes and was doable for all of us age 14-50+. It was pretty windy, so us paddleboarding had a harder time, so check the weather! (Unrelated, we had a good time driving over to Fort Island Gulf Beach for a while after, grabbing food at Shrimp Landing on the way, before trekking back to Orlando.) All in all, EXCELLENT experience with this family-owned and operated small business! Thanks so much!

In a group we got 2 SUPs and 2 single kayaks. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Due to some high waves the day we went they showed us alternate areas to paddle to so that we could avoid the big waves/ wind tunnels. We were able to about 10 manatees from a short distance during our paddle. The water near Three Sister Springs and along Crystal River was much darker than expected, making it tough to see beneath the water. We had been to Weeki Wachee in the past and would prefer to go there in the future due to calmer waters and more clear, spring-like conditions, making for a prettier paddle trip.

They had everything ready for us as soon as we got there. They offered instructions on how to use the kayak and general points of interest on our self guided day on the water. Equipment was clean and well taken care of.

Wir haben im Dezember einen 2-wöchigen Roadtrip durch Florida unternommen. Bei der Planung war es für uns relativ schnell klar, dass wir auch einen Zwischenstopp in Crystal River einlegen, um mit den Mandates zu schwimmen. Wenn man auf Google nach einer passenden Tour sucht, wird man mit Angeboten überschütte. Hier den Durchblick zu behalten ist gar nicht mal so einfach. Es war uns wichtig, nicht mit einem Motorboot in die Region zu fahren. Hauptsächlich weil man dann komplett von den Planungen des Anbieters abhängig ist. Die Homepage von Paddlesoutdoorrentals hat uns bei der Suche aber restlos überzeugt. Der große Vorteil war für uns die integrierte Chatfunktion. Damit konnten wir direkt mit dem Veranstalter Kontakt aufnehmen. Der Chatpartner sitzt auch vor Ort und begrüßt euch bei eurer Ankunft (es ist ein kleiner Familienbetrieb). Da das Wasserareal bei Crystal River relativ groß ist, haben wir vorab ein Tandem Kajak für den ganzen Tag gebucht. Hier empfiehlt es sich, direkt eine Tour um 08:00 oder 08:30 Uhr zu buchen. Zu dieser Zeit sind die Mandatees nämlich noch größtenteils in der Nähe der warmen Quellen. Nach unserer Ankunft wurden wir von dem Inhaber sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen. Ausreichende Parkplätze sind direkt vor der Türe vorhanden. Nach einem kurzen Gespräch wurden wir auf die Möglichkeit des schnorchelns hingewiesen. Dies hatten wir vorab nicht gebucht, da wir Angst vor Alligatoren hatten. Diese Angst wurde und genommen und wir konnten noch vor Ort Neoprenanzüge und eine Schnorchelausrüstung für insgesamt günstige 36$ ausleihen. Auch eine GoPro kann ausgeiehen werden. Das empfehle ich auch jedem, um dieses einmalige Erlebnis festzuhalten (wir hatten unsere eigene dabei). Nach einer kurzen Fahrt zum Startpunkt wurden wir mit voller Ausrüstung und einer Karte ins Wasser gelassen. Mein Tipp: Nehmt einen Rucksack mit Wasser und Sonnencreme mit. Auch Geld bietet sich an, da es einige Restaurants mit Anlegestelle in dem Gebiet gibt. Wir waren dann von 08:30 Uhr bis ca. 16:00 Uhr in dem gesamt
