Stop At: Magnolia Market, 601 Webster Ave, Waco, TX 76706-1164

Join us for a day tour, as we travel to Waco, Texas for a little Magnolia Market magnificence and some HGTV's Fixer Upper fun! Start your day heading south on I-35 towards the famous Magnolia Market at the Silos! We also visit Magnolia Table and Magnolia Press Coffee Shop. During the drive, your Tour Guide will entertain you with interesting stories of the history of Texas. We will arrive in Waco, Texas before you know it! There's something for everyone at Magnolia Market at the Silos. Shopping, games, the garden and even a bite to eat. Treat Yourself to Silos Baking Co., the on-site bakery filled with Joanna's personal recipes. Stop by the Garden; Joanna's vision was that the garden would be a space where the family can explore together and learn the lessons of the garden. Visit Magnolia Seed & Supply. This little shop sells gardening tools and supplies. Relax on the Lawn….On the big green lawn at the center of the property, enjoy the big box full of games. Most every sunny day, the lawn is covered up with parents and kiddos playing corn-hole, having potato sack races and throwing the football around. The lawn games make this more than a place to shop, but also a place to play and enjoy time with family and friends, have a picnic in the shade or grab a bite to eat at the Food Trucks. Visit Jimmy Don’s 36-foot-long trailer in the [Magnolia] parking lot. An estimated 400 people a day drift over from Magnolia Market to browse and take selfies with him. A short drive from Magnolia Market at the Silos is the Magnolia Table. As time and availability permits, enjoy a meal (not included) with your friends and family or pick something up to-go.

Stop At: Waco Suspension Bridge, 101 N University Parks Dr Doris Miller Park, Waco, TX 76701

Waco’s Historic Suspension Bridge was the longest single-span suspension bridge west of the Mississippi when it was completed in 1870. The bridge was built with cable supplied by the John Roebling Co., who built the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. Crucial to traders, cattle drives and travelers for well over a century, the bridge stands as an icon of Waco history.

In 2008, the first pieces of the “Branding the Brazos” sculptures made their debut next to the bridge. The towering Chisholm Trail sculptures, crafted by Robert Summers, include an over-sized, bronze trail boss driving Longhorns crossing the Brazos.

We (my 2 sisters-in-law and I) had just the very BEST time. it was so easy to connect with Rebecca to set up our tour. Rebecca was our tour guide and she was super; she bonded with us immediately and we had so much fun. She knows the history of the area and she kept up a stream of information that gave us so much more than we ever expected of our tour. For anyone who is considering visiting Waco, I would strongly recommend Discover Dallas Tours, you will be very, very satisfied. Thank you again Rebecca for a fun and memorable day.

My husband and I took a day tour to Waco and the Magnolia Market with Discover Dallas. Erin Brown was our tour guide and she is phenomenal. She drove us out to Waco, got us a table at Magnolia Table restaurant, which I am told can be very hard to do, and took us everywhere we wanted to go, giving us the history of Waco and the Chip and Joanna Gaines success story. Erin’s knowledge of the history of Texas was exceptional as well. Her wonderful sense of humor and her genuine kindness made for a great day. We will most definitely take another tour with Discover Dallas next time we are in Texas!

There was nothing in that store we did not like. Considering how busy it was, it is well managed and well maintained. The bakery goods were delicious. Food trucks all around, decorated very nice for the Christmas Holiday and Santa was present for photos with the children. Employees even offered to photograph you.

We could not have been happier with the day Erin planned and provided for us. We saw and enjoyed the highlights for Magnolia Farms including a delicious meal, the silos, shopping, visiting with Jimmy Don, seeing some of the Fixer Uppers and learning the history. Erin was so knowledgeable and entertaining that the road trip time flew by. The last hour in Dalles wa also a treat. Seeing some of the historical landmarks and famous neighborhoods gave us another experience for Dallas. We enjoy private tours as neither has to be distracted by driving and the tour guide makes you aware of so many things you are passing by that you would not have known on your own. It was a fun and educational experience. You won't go wrong taking this tour and I would think the other tours will be excellent as well., If we return to Dallas, we will definitely be signing up for one!!
